Water Events in 2007

The Water Research Cluster hosted two key events to coincide with National Water Week 2007

Water Wednesday: The Future of Water in South Australia

To celebrate National Water Week, the Water Research Cluster hosted Water Wednesday on 24 October. This special forum focused on the future for water in South Australia. Guest presenters included the Minister for the River Murray and Water Security, Hon Karlene Maywald, Mr Chris Stathy of Philmac Pty Ltd with an industry perspective, Assoc Prof David Paton drawing lessons from the death of the Coorong, and Dr Rod Oliver looking at the future health of the Murray-Darling Basin. The forum concluded with an open discussion.

Water Pitchfest

On 25th October 2007, the Water Research Cluster and the Water Industry Alliance hosted a Pitchfest on New Technologies for Water Management. The event has been podcast. An extensive blog has been written on the event which includes information on all of the speakers and their talks, including individual podcasts and video footage of each talk.
